Judges

GRAND JURY

Our Grand Jury of seasoned investors and top journalists will observe all of the main-stage action and choose our winners, while our judges will sit on stage and give instant feedback on every demo. The Launch Fund will also invest $250K in the winners. 


Competition

LAUNCH 1.0

LAUNCH your company on stage for the first time ever.

No screenshots, no press, no social media, no AngelList profile, no nothing! You are hidden and people see your product for the first time on stage. You don’t pre-brief the press, you don’t do a demo day before the Festival. You’re on lockdown!

Companies accepted into 1.0 must have their websites behind a LaunchRock (or equivalent) with no product shots or videos on their site. You may have company name, logo, and a box to collect emails. 

Any press or pre-briefs will disqualify you from the competition.

LAUNCH 2.0

Your company has already launched, and now you have a MASSIVELY compelling new product or feature. 

You will only be judged on totally new stuff the world has not seen. 

The NEW product or feature MUST be significant. Ask yourself these questions:

a) Will press like GigaOm, New York Times, TechCrunch, etc. want to cover the new product or feature?

b) Will the audience pull out their iPhones, snap a picture and say, "WOW."

Again, zero press around the new feature or product. Any screenshots or hints will disqualify you from the competition.

Launch Hackathon

 

This competition is for the best LAUNCH Hackathon project. Hacking will start the weekend before the Festival (Feb 27-March 1). Five companies will be chosen to present their projects on the main stage. The winner will be eligible for a $100K optional investment from the LAUNCH Fund

Demo Pit

 

This competition is for existing companies that have already launched.  LAUNCH Staff will select companies from the Demo Pit to present their products on the Main Stage.  Questions about the Demo Pit? Check out the FAQ.

Builder Tickets - $49  

For broke founders, UI/UX designers thinking of starting a company, tech enthusiasts bored at work and looking for a better gig, bloggers, writers and students. Builders!

The wristband gives you access to the Demo Pit & seats/standing at the back of the stages (Office Hours & Update Stage, Skills Stage & Main Stage). Does NOT include lunch or access into The Lounge. Priority seating will be given to regular Conference Passes+.

Festival Pass - $995

Badge includes access to 3 cocktail parties + all stages at the conference with priority desk seating (power/ethernet connection). Also includes lunch.
